mural FAQ
-
How does the mural or art commission process work?
The process typically begins with a consultation to discuss your vision, location, and goals. From there, I create concept sketches or digital mockups for your approval. Once the design is finalized, we schedule the painting phase, followed by protective sealing and final documentation. -
How long does it take to complete a mural?
The timeline depends on the mural’s size, complexity, and weather conditions. On average, smaller murals take 2–7 days, while larger or more detailed works may take 2–4 weeks from start to finish, including prep and drying time. -
What factors determine the cost of a mural?
Pricing depends on several elements: wall size, surface condition, design complexity, materials, accessibility (scaffolding or lift rental), and location. After an initial consultation and site visit, I provide a detailed quote and breakdown. -
Do you provide design concepts before painting begins?
Yes. Every mural project includes one to two digital mockups or sketches for client review and approval. Minor revisions are included to ensure the final design fully aligns with your vision before work begins. -
What kind of paint and materials do you use?
I use professional-grade exterior mural paints such as Golden, Montana Gold, or Behr Marquee, along with UV-resistant and weatherproof coatings. This ensures the mural maintains its colour vibrancy and durability for many years. -
How long will the mural last?
With proper preparation, quality materials, and a protective clear coat, murals can last 8–10 years or more, depending on exposure to sunlight and weather conditions. Periodic touch-ups can extend the lifespan significantly. -
Can I request specific themes, styles, or colours?
Absolutely. Collaboration is central to my creative process. Clients are encouraged to share inspiration images, brand colours, or stylistic preferences. My goal is to create a piece that feels both personal and site-specific. -
What happens once the mural is complete?
Once finished, I can apply a protective varnish or anti-graffiti coating (optional), photograph the final work, and conduct a walkthrough with the client to ensure satisfaction. I also provide maintenance recommendations to keep the mural in top condition for years to come.
